The Best of Fisher Price
Fisher-Price has been at the forefront of children's toys for more than a generation and have become synonymous with quality toys of all kinds, for children of all ages. One of the latest Fisher Price baby products is the very well received Fisher Price Rainforest Gym.
A quick Google search for reviews of the Rainforest Gym will soon make you appreciate that parents have been thrilled with their children's reactions to be the toy, which has proved a real winner with children of even only a few weeks of age.
It seems that unlike many other toys, the Fisher Price Rainforest Gym engages children's interest more and more as time goes on, unlike most toys which seem to have a very limited attention span for most very young children.
They tend to start off batting and flicking the various components but then as their dexterity improves they begin to play with the various features, which captivate babies’ eyes from a very early age.
One of its outstanding features is the fact that there is a good number of tempting items such as rattle beads and elephants hanging down within reach, alongside a rattle, a squeezable monkey, some discs which rotate, eye-catching butterflies and even a small mirror.
All of these prove to be irresistible as they have above baby on a central hub, as mentioned above one of the strong points is that even the youngest babies are capable of reaching these tempting items and are able to not only watch them but also make contact, this is a huge advantage over many other similar setups which always seem to place the objects just out of babies reach.
The whole Fisher Price Rainforest Gym is also sturdy and oozes quality and a very high degree of detail, with items such as an attractive giraffe in bright colours that along with the rest of the toy is easy to clean, an essential with a young child. The sounds, lights and music that are generated seem irresistible to babies, but somehow at the same time manage to not become a complete annoyance and distraction to parents, not only this, the volume can be turned up and down to suit the adults needs.
The bars once constructed seem to be permanent, although this may not actually be the case; it is certain that the way it seems. Although it is practical to folded down and place it into its carrier bag, unfortunately this is not the case with the middle section of the toy.
The mat is a little bit on the thin side, a small amount of extra padding would have been helpful, but generally it is still soft enough. Overall this is an excellent product especially as it lends itself well to very young babies and manages to keep their interest for long periods.
